The same arithmetic as the centimetre resizer, for anyone working in inches: inches multiplied by DPI gives pixels. A 4 x 6 inch print at 300 DPI needs an image of 1200 x 1800 pixels.
Choose 300 DPI for photographs and 600 for documents with small text. Remember that the detail has to exist in the original: resizing a small photo up to a large print size spreads the same pixels further apart and produces a soft result, not a sharper one.

Questions
What size is a standard photo print?
4 x 6 inches is the common print size, which is 1200 x 1800 pixels at 300 DPI. 5 x 7 inches is 1500 x 2100.
Inches or centimetres?
They are the same thing measured differently — one inch is 2.54 cm. Use whichever your printer or form states.
Is this tool free?

Is my file uploaded to your server?
No. This tool runs inside your own browser, so the file never leaves your phone or computer. Once the page has loaded you can even switch off your internet connection and the tool will still work.
