Takes the first frame of a GIF and saves it as a JPG, which is the format to choose if the result is going into a form or a document.

JPG cannot store transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with the colour you select, white by default. If the GIF is a logo on a transparent background, GIF to PNG will serve you better.

The animation is not preserved; a JPG is a single still picture.

How to use it

  1. Choose your files, or drag them onto the box above.
  2. Press the convert button and wait a moment.
  3. Download the result. Nothing is kept once you leave the page.

  • GIF (.gif)
  • Up to 25 MB per file

Questions

My logo gained a white box.

The GIF had a transparent background and JPG cannot store transparency, so it was filled in. Use GIF to PNG instead to keep it transparent.
